1000 Pieces

The Jigsaw puzzle ; it's a challenging one when you have to fix 1000 pieces together.
Some love this because the activity is therapeutic and like sewing; it calms the mind and sets it thinking coherently. It also tests patience, skill, art and gives you maximum thrill when you complete the puzzle.
As usual, the girls will rush in and out of the house over the weekend and start projects and then to abandon them when they leave.
Grace was ambitious last week when she bought a new puzzle.
She was not here long enough to see her piece.

She left the unfixed pieces dangling in the air when she whisked off to the airport for her work place.

She occupied the family dining table and gave us the challenge to complete her job; why do they always do that to us? Have we been mollycoddling them too much? We pick up their pieces...clothes, shoes, books...and have not trained them well !

Mama likes sewing but not the puzzle. Papa on the other hand loves the challenge. So guess what? He got glued to it for days. He forwent paper work, bills, drawings for this...

Deftly he fixes the pieces, pausing so often to find the precise piece. Yes, a misplaced piece will be disastrous as it will topple all work. The exact nook for that exact piece; definitely skilful eyes are needed. I have a confession to make; the art in me is not enough. The 30 minutes I spent looking for the right piece turned out to be disastrous. I THOUGHT I found it ! Dad discovered that it was also the piece that caused him hours looking for the mistake. Just not my forte.

 The bottom portion now ready.
Grace do you see it?

Now the top pieces all look alike with little variations. So it's getting harder.

But it is not a feat for dad with his special skills.

Now even the top left is fixed.

It's the last portion to the top right...

 Yes; what can't dad do?

So the thousand piece puzzle ready for framing and SALE.
Anyone interested?
