The First Stop

 Windsor

Our first stop as suggested by dad was at Windsor; the royal town. It was only 20 minutes drive from the place where we booked the car and as we reckoned we would be suffering from jet lags, it was best we had a room to rest fast.

Langton House greeted us with warmth and we were glad that we had a place that was clean and pretty. Bed and Breakfast is our favourite mode of stay in the countryside as it gave us a homey ethos and an opportunity to be in an English home. As Sara signed in, we could hear the sounds of keys and  we suspected someone practising the piano at a room in the back quarters.
The family must be residing there too.

Slapped in Windsor town, Langton House was a mere minutes away from the town. The B & B place was convenient and accessible to many food outlets and shopping lots.

We were given a room on the first floor which was equipped with a neat kitchenette. It is practical to build one like this in houses which have a few floors  to climb.

Strange but true, the rooms were decorated with Chinese decor items; to go so far away and to feel like home. Good. The only downside was the toilet was a shared one outside the bedroom.
Only Malaysian homes have toilets attached to every room !

This must be the little girl on the keys the night before. She is bright and breezy; a bulwark of support to her dad. We teach children the best ways most of the time but they may not end up the way we want.

Sara looked forward to a good English breakfast. We would have to go through a long day to Reading and Warminster.

A typical English breakfast for the hungry.

Dad was most pleased as he scour through the toppings and found...

...his most loved. Marmite ! He can drink that for days.

Across Langton House is a chapel; many walked in to worship on the Saturday evening and the Sunday morning.

We were cordially told of our check-out time.

Soon breakfast was over and the start of our adventure for the day.
We had to drive far to look for dad's old friend again.
But Sara wanted to see Reading for the last time till who knows when.
The trip had to be planned carefully again.
So out we went, but before leaving the town we had to visit the famous spots of the royal town.

To Windsor
